Valhalla and the Merit School of Music Team up to Create A New Full Service audio and video Recording Studio in Chicago’s West Loop.
Beginning in August 2022, we are thrilled to announce that Valhalla Media will begin offering audio and video recording services at the Merit School of Music’s Gottlieb Hall. Praised by Recordists, Recording Artists, and Classical Record Labels alike for its prized acoustics and versatility, Gottlieb Hall will be the perfect setting for you to record your new pre-screen, audition, or promotional materials for the upcoming year.
Not only will you have access to a top-tier venue for your recordings and your choice of a 7 Foot Steinway B or 8 Foot Steinway D Concert Grand Piano – your performance will receive the magic and artistry that the Valhalla Media team brings to the table. Our dedicated staff of experienced classical recording technicians, our state-of-the-art Merging Technologies preamps, a Pyramix recording system, our Schoeps microphones, and our Canon EOS Cinema Cameras – all will be on-site to make sure that your recordings receive the care, nuance, and attention to detail that they deserve.
Through our special arrangement with Merit, let Valhalla Media take care of the venue, recording, and logistics, and you can focus on what truly matters – your breathtaking performance.

The Fees:
We are pleased to offer the following bundled rates for our services at Gottlieb Hall – which include all venue fees:
1 Hour – Audio and Video Recording, Single Camera – $250.00
1 Hour – Audio and Video Recording, Multi-Camera – $350.00
**Each hour of studio time includes one hour of post-production time for audio mixing and video editing**
***Please note our pending rate increase effective September 1st, 2024: $275.00 per hour of Single Camera recording, and $385.00 per hour of Multi-Camera Recording. All sessions booked for dates within the month of August 2024 will be honored at the previous rate***
